Nikolay Nikolayevich graduated from the law faculty of Kiev University in 1911.
In 1915-1919, Nikolay Nikolayevich was a privatdocent of Kiev University, in 1919-1920 - professor of the Commercial Institute in Kiev, in 1920-1921 - professor, head of the working department of the Law Institute in Sevastopol and Simferopol, in 1921-1930 - professor of criminal law of the Kiev Institute of national economy, at the same time deputy director of law courses in the People’s Commissariat of Justice of the Ukrainian SSR (until 1934).
In 1934-1938 - senior researcher at the All-Ukrainian Institute of Social Health, in 1938-1940 - Professor at Kiev University. In 1940-1948 - Professor, Head of the Department, Vice-Rector of Lviv State University. In the period of the occupation of 1941-1944 - an employee of the Lviv Notarial Chamber. In 1949-1960 - professor at the Law Faculty of Rostov State University. Since 1960 - Professor of the Department of Industrial Law Sciences of the Voronezh State University.
Author of about 100 works, including books: "The Punitive Mechanism of the Criminal Code of 1903" (Kiev, 1911), "On the Question of Relapse on Soviet Criminal and Corrective Labor Law" (Saratov, 1958) and others.
