Career
With the Kirov Theatre of
Opera and Ballet, 1922-1957. Distinguishing traits: thoroughness of style and great plasticity. Taught at the Kirov Theatre, 1950-1958, the Leningrad Comedy Theatre, 1960-1964 and 1971-1973, the Navoi Theatre, 1968-1971, and the Chuvashskii Musical Theatre from 1978.
Produced ballets for the Kirov Theatre, in collaboration with A. Andreev, for the Minsk and Navoi theatres, and for the Chuvashskii Musical Theatre. Joint author with A. Andreev of the book Che tyre Ekzersisa, 1972.
