1932 graduated Timiryazev Agriculture Academy, Moscow.
Career
1932-1936 worked at Timiryazev Agric Academy, Moscow. From 1960 Presidium member, from 1963 chief learned secretary, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences. From 1936 head, Laboratory of Enzymology, Bakh Institute of Biochemistry, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences.
1960-1963 acad secretary, Biological Sciences Division, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences. Also professor, Moscow University. 1953-1960 correspondent member, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences.
1945-1965 correspondent member. Arm Academy of Sciences. Company-ed, chemistry department, 2nd ed of “Biomedical Engineering” (Large Medical Encyclopedia).
From 1965 chief ed, journal “Vestnik Academy of Sciences USSR”. Soviet representative on United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Executive Council. Member of many Soviet and for sci society
1960 attended session of United Nations Executive Committee and 11th session of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization General Conference, Paris. 1961 attended All-Union Meeting of Sciences Workers and 4th International Congress of Biochemists, Moscow. 1962 attended joint session of Biological Sciences Division, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences and Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Medical Sciences.
Developed tech biochemical processes and efficient technol for viniculture and for drying and dehydration of produce. Wrote more than 400 sci works on action of enzymes in metabolism and problems of space biology.
