In 1973 Oleg Ivanovich Zagorulko graduated from the medical faculty of the Krasnoyarsk State Medical Institute, specializing in anesthesiologist - resuscitator.
After graduation, Oleg Ivanovich Zagorulko worked as a surgeon, deputy chief physician for the treatment of the central district hospital in the city of Ilansk in the Krasnoyarsk Krai (1973-1976). For two years he worked as a senior physician of the military unit of the Armed Forces of the USSR (1976 - 1978). From 1978 to 1984 Oleg Ivanovich was the senior resident of the department of anesthesiology-reanimatology of Klin central regional hospital in the Moscow region. During the period 1985-1987, as a senior physician anesthesiologist - resuscitator of a group of specialists was sent to a foreign business trip to Angola. Since 1987 Oleg Ivanovich has been working at the Scientific Center of Surgery of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences (SCS RAMS) first as a junior researcher, research associate, then a senior researcher in the Pain Syndrome Department. Since 1993, he has been Director General of the Diagnostic Center "Integrative Medicine" of the Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. Since 1997, Oleg Ivanovich Zagorulko headed the Clinical-Diagnostic Department of the Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. In 1995 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of medical sciences, and in 2010 - the doctor of medical sciences. Now he is a professor, chief physician of the Russian Scientific Center of Surgery named after Academician B. Petrovsky RAMS.
