Osamu Takenaka served as secretary at Mine Supervision Bureau of Commerce and Industry Ministry. Statistics official and administrative official of insurance affairs of the same ministry; after retiring from the ministry (1932) worked as stock exchange broker at Osaka and then became director and managing director of Japan Soda Company (1940).
Founded and became president of Nitto Mining Industry and Steamship Company; meantime held executive posts with more than 10 companies serving successively as director of Hochi newspaper and Yomiuri newspaper. Assumed his present post (1948).
