Graduated from Civil Engineering Department of Kyushu University (1922).
Career
He became lecturer (1925) and then assistant professor of Engineering Department of Hokkaido University (1925). Studied in Australia (1929). Promoted to professor (1932).
Assumed additional posts of dean of students, professor of Civil Engineering Department and trustee. Served as dean of Engineering Department (1946-1952). After resigning as dean of Engineering Department was reappointed professor.
Holds additional posts of member of Japan Science Council, chairman of Tokachi District Committee of Hokkaido General Development Council, chairman of Hokkaido Kensetsugyo Shingikai (Hokkaido Construction Business Association) and chairman of Hokkaido General Development Five-Year Plan Committee.
