Graduated from Electric Engineering Department of Tokyo University (1914).
President of Nihon Kagaku Kogyo Kaisha (Japan Chemical Industry Company) (since 1945) and Nihon Seiren Kaisha (Japan Refining Industry Company). Served first with Tokyo Keiki Seisakujo (Gauge Manufacturing) Company and then entered Nihon Seiren Kaisha (1920) becoming its director.
Served also as managing director of Nihon Match Manufacturing Industry Company and Nihon Seiren Shoji Kaisha (Japan Refining Industry & Trading Company) and as director of over 10 other industrial companies.
Holds additional posts of chief director of Japan Inorganic Drugs Association, supervisor of Federation of Economic Organizations, permanent director of Japan Chemical Industry Association and president of Metal Surface Technique Association.
