In 1931 Param Nath Bhaduri got his Master of Science in Botany in Calcutta University. In 1939 Param Nath Bhaduri completed his Doctor of Philosophy in the University of London.
Since 1942 Param Nath Bhaduri was a lecturer in Botany at Calcutta University. In 1947 he joined Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi as cytogeneticist. In 1958 Param Nath Bhaduri was appointed as a professor and a head of Botany Department at Presidency College in Calcutta. In September 1964 he became a professor of Botany at Burdwan University. Param Nath Bhaduri also was a vice chancellor at Burdwan University. Since 1973 he was an emeritus scientist at Kalyani University.
Bhaduri developed techniques of differential staining of nucleolus. He used such techniques for cytogenetic reinvestigation of the genus Tradescantia and made extensive cytogenetic studies on genus Gaura. He was also the author of many articles and research papers.
