Patricia Hinds was born in New York City, New York, United States.
Patricia Hinds received a Bachelor of Science degree at Hampton University. Then at the City University of New York, she received a Master of Science degree.
Patricia Hinds began her book publishing career at Harper and Row and has been an editor at Essence magazine.
In 1985, she created her own corporate communications company, Mignon Communications, whose clients include an impressive list of Fortune 500 companies. Her company specializes in editorial services and book and magazine publishing.
Hinds has produced educational television series titled Cahoots and has served on the board of director of Cinque Gallery in New York City. In 1993, she was selected by Essence Communications to launch Essence Books and also to spearhead a new line of Essence children’s books as the director of Essence books.
She is also an educator on primary and college levels, having taught small business management and been a writing professor. Now Patricia Hinds lives in New York City and provides leadership to her company.
