Patrick Wilson Gore studied at the University of Oxford, where he received a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Military History in 1962. Later in 1966, he received a Master of Arts here. Gore also attended the National Defence College of Canada from 1980 to 1981.

Career

Patrick Wilson Gore works as a writer and journalist. His career started at Associated Press, Columbus, Ohio, as an editor, where he worked from 1968 to 1969. Later, at Humber College, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Gore worked as an Assistant Chairman from 1969 to 1973. Patrick also held a post of the President of the North Frontier Communications, Perth, Ontario, from 1971 to 1987.

Patrick Gore's career includes military service. He was commissioned in British and Canadian forces Royal Air Force, Royal Marine Commando Reserve, where he was a paratrooper. Gore also has a Green Beret.

Personality

Gore's main interest is in what George Orwell called "unofficial history." He brings to bear the skills of an Oxford-trained historian, honed by years in military intelligence and international journalism, to produce accounts of what may have happened in those shady areas where the laws of libel and the reticence KGB and CIA alike make the work of the conventional historian impossible. While his primary task is to entertain the reader, Gore hopes that the information and insights he shares may broaden his understanding of what is really going on in the world. A citizen of three countries, Gore traveled to fifty countries and lived and worked on three continents.
