During Civil War founded Expert Commission on Bread Surrogates. 1918 founded first Russian experimental food center and bakery. Compiled extensive herbarium of plants which could be used as additional sources of nutrition.
1921 reorganized Health Center into Moscow Health Institute. Director, above institute Learned secretary, Sciences Food Council, Narpit (Public Nutrition) joint-stock company.
Consultant. Sanitary Food Section, Moscow Health Department and Public Nutrition Council, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics People's Commissariat of Health. 1921 sponsored Health Institute’s first conference on food standards, arranged by Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics People's Commissariat of Health. Established standards for food products and compiled Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Food Code.
Company-founder and member, editorial board, journal “Gigiyena i epidemiologiya”. Taught at health officers courses and campaigned for improvement of general public’s hygiene standards:.
