Pavel Krivtsov graduated from the journalism department of the philological faculty at Voronezh State University (1982).
Pavel Krivtsov worked as a press photographer of the newspapers "Leninskaya Smena" (Belgorod, 1966-1981), "Sovetskaya Rossiya" (1981-1986), and the magazine "Ogonek" (1986-1991). Since 1969 he has been participating in various photo exhibitions and competitions. Since 1991 he was a photo artist for a Moscow magazine "Slovo".
Krivtsov's solo exhibitions were held in Moscow (1993), Yasnaya Polyana (1997), Belgorod (2002) and in Germany (1996). The exhibition of Krivtsov’s works "Images of Russia" was arranged in Voronezh as part of the Days of Slavic Writing System and Culture (2003). Pavel Pavlovich Krivtsov is an author of such photo albums as "Russian people. XX century" (Belgorod, 2003, was awarded an international prize named after Mikhail Sholokhov, Moscow, 2004), "Angel sounded the trumpet" (Tobolsk, 2008). He is the winner of many Union-wide, All-Russian, international awards, including the Golden Eye Award of the annual World Press-Foto Competition (Amsterdam, 1989). In 1989, Pavel Krivtsov was awarded an honorary title International Master for Photography.
