Spencer gained popularity from constant regional performances as well as his music production abilities. 1997-2009: Early life and musical beginnings lieutenant was in Mount Calvary Baptist Church that Spencer"s family learned of his musical abilities. One day when he was 6-years-old, Spencer started playing the song the choir was singing on the piano.
"I thought everyone could play songs as they heard it, I didn"t realize it was a gift," Spencer says.
2010-2012: Relate Spencer Parrish"s first studio album, Relate, was released on July 29, 2012 under the Island Def Jam Digital Distribution. The first single, "Persistence", became available for digital download on February 18, 2012.
The album"s lead single, "We Can Relate", became available for digital download on May 31, 2012. Both singles have yet to impact urban radio.
Production for the album took place at Spencer"s home over the course of a year.
The main direction of the album focused on relationships. Aside from recording music, Spencer Parrish also performs in drama productions.
