He is the author of articles published by such universities as Harvard, Cornell, and Virginia. Doctor Malawer formerly served as Chairman of the International Practice Section of the Virginia State Bar.
Doctor Malawer was a founding faculty member of the George Mason University School of Law teaching international law and the founding Director of the Graduate International Transactions Program at George Mason University (International Institute) and received the George Mason University Faculty Member of the Year Award.
