Platon Radonezhsky was born in 1826 in Koprino, Yaroslavl Oblast, Russian Federation. The whole Radonezh family had wonderful voices, musicality and loved singing very much. From the age of 6, Plato sang in the church choir.

Platon Radonezhsky was born in 1826 in Koprino, Yaroslavl Oblast, Russian Federation. The whole Radonezh family had wonderful voices, musicality and loved singing very much. From the age of 6, Plato sang in the church choir.
After graduating from the Rybinsk district school, he entered the Yaroslavl Theological Seminary, then was immediately recorded in the singing choir. In the late 1840s, he took singing lessons from A.I. Tambroni in Moscow. Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol, Alexander Nikolaevich Ostrovsky took part in his fate.
Platon Radonezhsky performed with a troupe of actors in provincial cities, including those Voronezh (1850-1851). Studied with F. Ricci in Saint Petersburg, improved his skills in Italy. In 1862-1863 he sang at the Mariinsky Theater (St. Petersburg). Since 1864, the soloist of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, the performer of many roles in the operas of Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Alexander Sergeevich Dargomyzhsky. He also performed as a chamber singer, performed romances (including verses by Alexei Vasilyevich Koltsov) and Russian folk songs. Platon Radonezhsky came to Voronezh on tour in March 1865, February - March 1868, end of 1873, February 1874.
