Pyotr Antonovich Kirichenko was a commander of a platoon of an engineering-mine company of the 19th mechanized brigade (69th Army, Steppe Front). Distinguished in the battle of the Dnieper River. In September 1943, when crossing the Dnieper near the village of Mishurin Rog (Verkhnedneprovsky district, Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukrainian SSR) skillfully organized the crossing of artillery. Since 1947, Junior Lieutenant Kirichenko - retired. He lived and worked as an engineer in the village Pereleshinsky Paninsky district.
