In 1982 - 1984 R. Pichkhadze was a senior research fellow of the Medical Faculty at the University of Friendship of Peoples. From 1984 to 1987 he worked as a surgeon, physician-traumatologist in polyclinic No. 134 in Moscow. In 1987-1989 he was a junior, then a senior researcher at the reflex diagnostic laboratory at the Central Research Institute of Reflexology in Moscow. At the same time, he underwent a course of acupuncture at the Central Institute for Post-Graduate Medical Education (TSOLIUV) in Moscow (1987).
In 1989, Ramaz Pichkhadze founded and headed the "Medicine" firm in the joint Soviet-American enterprise "ASK", in which he also headed the department of iridodiagnostic. Since 1991, he is the president of the "Medicine-ASK" firm and the head of the medical center.
Prior to 1993, R.S. Pichkhadze was the Chief Executive of the Acupuncture and Alternative Medicine Association of the USSR. Currently, he is an academy fellow of the Medici Academy (Italy), a member of the Acupuncture and Alternative Medicine Association of Russia, a member of the International Association of Iridotronics (Luxembourg), a member of the Romanian Association of Acupuncture, a member of the Acupuncture Association of Israel.
R.S. Pichkhadze is the author and co-author of about 20 scientific works, including monographs "Iridodiagnosis of diseases of the stomach and duodenum".
