Associate with East Asiatic Limited company, of Copenhagen and affiliated companies, Copenhagen, Bangkok, Singapore, Libau, Leningrad, Archangel and New York until 1925. With American Export Lines, Genoa, Alexandria and New York, and on commercial and shipping missions in Europe, 1926-1936.

Director in charge operations Gdynia America Line, New York, 1936-1940. President and director the East Asiatic Company, Inc., and Chairman, Board Of Directors West Indian Limited company, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, from 1940. Member board of directors Re-insurance Company, —Constituion, —New York City from 1943, Johnson Walton Steamships, Ltd., Vancouver, B.C., from 1946.
