Richard Clayton Frushell was born on August 25, 1935, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Education

In 1968, Frushell received a Ph.D. from Duquesne University.

Career

From 1968 to 1971, Frushell was an assistant professor of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, then he became an associate professor, and then a professor of English from 1975 to 1986. In 1988, Frushell became an associate professor of English and comparative literature Penn Stale University in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. He is also a contributing editor.
