Richard Ross was born on March 31, 1944, in New York City, New York, United States. He is the son of Louis B. and Adele Ross.

Education

Ross graduated from Hobart College with a bachelor's degree in 1965. He then also obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1968.

Career

Ross started his career as a director of programs and planning at New York State Unified Court System in 1982 and held that position till 1991. Since then, he worked as a supervising judge at Manhattan Family Court in New York City.

During his career, Ross also worked as a newspaper reporter.
