Education
He graduated from Sapporo Agricultural School (1901). Studied in Britain, Germany and the United States (1912-1914).
Career
He was appointed assistant professor at Tohoku University (1907). Appointed assistant professor at Agriculture Department Hokkaido University, when the university was established (1918). Was promoted to professor and appointed director of the Gifu Higher Agricultural School (1923).
