Robert Brenner is an American professor and lecturer, as well as a writer. He made researches on holiday customs in the United States and on Depression glass.
Brenner obtained Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin—Oshkosh. He also had graduate study at the University of Wisconsin—Madison, the Cardinal Stritch College, the University of Wisconsin—Stout, the Concordia University, and the University of Minnesota—St. Cloud.
Brenner served at the Princeton High School, where he held the position of an English teacher, from 1968.
He was also a lecturer at museums, art institutes, and public gatherings. Brenner worked as a consultant to Galloway Village, Smithsonian Institution, and Sheboygan Historical Society.
In his writings, Brenner centres on a history of celluloid items used to decorate American homes, also he is the author of a manuscript on Christmas celebrations in America since World War II and research on holiday customs in America.
He is a contributor to periodicals, including Country Home, Antique Toy World, Early American Life, Doll Collector, Antique Trader Weekly, Collector Editions, and Antiques and Collecting.

Brenner is a member of National Council of Teachers of English, Wisconsin Historical Society, Wisconsin Council of Teachers of English, Wisconsin Education Association, and Friends of the Fox.
He is regarded as a life member of Continuing Education, Princeton Historical Society and Friends of the Library.
Brenner married Sharon Thiel on June 6, 1979.
