Rober Kaminsky graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory (violin class of L. Auer, class of theory of music and composition of N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov and A. K. Lyadov).
He was a violin teacher at Ekaterinodar music school (early 1900s - 1909). Teacher of violin, harmony, musical literature at the Voronezh Music School and the Children's Music School No. 1 (1935-1945), at the same time (1936-1940)he was the head of the musical part of the Voronezh Drama Theater. He often performed at concerts as a violinist. The conductor of the orchestra at the Voronezh Music School,he also conducted the graduation plays of the Voronezh Choreographic School: “Swan Lake” by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1939), “Fairy Doll” by Joseph Bayer (1940).
