Student, St. Louis School Fine Arts, 1925-1926; student, Pennsylvania Academy Fine Arts, 1927-1930; European travel, Cresson scholarship, 1929-1930.
He is best remembered for his medals, architectural sculpture and other works. During 1930 he worked as an assistant to Paul Manship. He also created sculpture under the auspices of the Works Progress Administration"s Federal Art Project.
Cronbach taught sculpture at Adelphi College in Garden City, New York from 1947 to 1961.
He was one of 250 sculptors who exhibited in the 3rd Sculpture International held at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the summer of 1949.
