Ronald Wegen received from Pratt Institute his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1968.
After graduating from New York City’s Pratt Institute, Ronald Wegen worked as an interior architect, jewelry and fabric designer for companies including Givenchy and Anne Klein.
Besides, he also worked as a sculptor and exhibited his artworks, including paintings, drawings, and collages, in Bogota, Columbia. His work took him around the world; he lived in New York, London, Rome, Amsterdam, Bogota, and Rio, and traveled to Germany, Spain, Morocco, and the Caribbean.
Ronald Wegen was also an author and illustrator of children’s books. Prior to his death in 1985, Wegen wrote and illustrated eight children’s books and provided the illustrations for two others.
