Harvard Business School, Institute voor Kunstnijverheid, 1950—1952. Student in Ballet, with Sonia Gaskell.

Career

Van Dantzig—Portrait of a Choreographer (by January Vryman), The Making of a Ballet (bv Wilbert Bank).Joined Sonia Gaskell’s company Ballet Recital (later Netherlands Ballet), soloist 1959. Won Prix de la Critique (Paris) for choreography in Night Island 1955.

With Netherlands Dance Theatre 1959-1960, artistic director and principle choreographer Netherlands National Ballet since 1968.

Has also worked for London Dance Theatre, Ballet Rambert, The Royal Ballet, Harkness Ballet (New York), Bat-Dor (Tel-Aviv), Ballet d’Anvers (Antwerp), National Ballet of Washington, Royal Danish Ballet, American Ballet Theater, National Ballet of Canada, Ballets of Munich and Cologne, Viennese Opera Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Houston Ballet, Hungarian State Ballet, Finnish Opera Ballet, Pacific South-West Ballet (Seattle), Paris Opera Ballet. Ridder Oranje-Nassau 1969.
