Businessman entrepreneur innovator Global Business Owner
Rudolf Schirmer Ampofo-Domfeh was born on 8 July 1989 in Accra, Ghana, but grew up in Kumasi with an amazing and supportive family who supported his interest in arts and entertainment at the early stage. At the age of 12, he was writing novels and poems and acting in some local movies in the Ashanti Region. He stayed with his parents and four siblings. He started and is the head of the Schirmer Ampofo-Domfeh family.
In 1998, Rudolf Schirmer Ampofo-Domfeh attended Adventist Preparatory School at Old Tafo, Kumasi for his primary education and left for Quality International School for his junior high school education from 2001 to 2003.
In 2004, he was admitted to study Geography, Mathematics, and Economics at St Hubert Seminary School located at Santasi few kilometers behind Opoku Ware School.
In the 2009 academic year, he enrolled in the Catholic University of Ghana to study Economics and Business Administration, and whilst in school, started his courses in Chartered Economics.
In 2007, after high school graduation, Rudolf Schirmer started a number of business activities and initiatives under his sole proprietorship operating from home, which grew and re-organized to become Augson Global and its subsidiaries in 2014. He faced many challenges, failures but through innovative means, determination and hard work, he was able to thrive to success.
Rudolf Schirmer directing, promoting and producing movies and other filmmaking activities, later diversified into consumable and non-consumable product supplies especially with the importation of drinks such as royal challenge champagne, Lucozade, Coca Cola, Pure Heaven, etc. from the UK to the local markets of Kumasi and Accra. He also dealt with importation and sales of used electronic gadgets such as television sets, fridges, etc. During this period of operations as Sole Proprietor, Rudolf Schirmer to small construction works and supplies contracts from various entities, institutions, and individuals including governmental agencies.
Rudolf Schirmer after successful management and operations of Augson Global as CEO, founded Format Builders & Contractors Limited to replace his activities in construction works and related supplies; The Schirmer Investments Ltd to cater for his interest in investments, properties, telecommunication and travel; and The Schirmers Group Inc. in New Jersey, USA to expand and extend his fashion and clothing brand ‘SCHIRMS’ to the international market, and also undertake other investment activities in the United States of America, all with his wife as co-founder and owner.
Rudolf Schirmer Ampofo-Domfeh is currently the Chairman of The Rudolf & Schirmers Enterprises.
