S.C. Sen was born in 1906 in Giridih, India.

Education

In 1928 S.C. Sen was a Bachelor of Science after finishing Calcutta University. In 1930 he became Master of Science.

Career

In 1933-1952 S.C. Sen worked as a sugarcane chemist at the Central Surgarcane Research Station in Pusa. Since 1952 he was an Assistant Professor of Sugar Chemistry at the National Sugar Institute in Kanpur. He has about 125 articles and research papers published.

Membership

S.C. Sen was a fellow of Royal Institute of Chemistry (London), Institution of Chemists (India), Sugar Technologists' Association (India), Bihar Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He was a member of Indian Science Congress Association (1962 - President of Agricultural Sciences Section).
