Career
He became lecturer (1919) and then professor at Kumamoto Higher Engineering School. Studied for two years in England, U.S.A. and Switzerland (from 1922).
Appointed professor at Kurume Higher Engineering School (1939), president of Kurume Engineering College (1939), professor at Kyushu University (1949), director of Seisan Kagaku Kenkyu-jo of Kyushu University and trustee of the same university (1953).
