Samuel Alfred Ross served as Vice President of Liberia during the administration of President Charles Doctorate.B. King from 1920-1924. He also served in the Liberian Senate in 1910, and as the country"s Attorney General in 1912. After his political career, Ross was associate editor of the African Agricultural World from 1927 to 1929, and was postmaster general from 1928 until his death.
Ross died on December 10, 1929, in Liberia.
