1917 graduate Faculty of History and Philology, Kiev University.
1917-1926 taught Ukraine and Russian at schools in Kiev Province. 1926-1930 school inspector. 1929-1939 taught pedag and methods of teaching Ukraine and Russian at teachers' training colleges in Kiev.
1939-1941 professor of pedag, Kiev University. 1941-1943 professor, Sukhumi Teachers’ Training Institute. 1944-1962 professor and head, Chair of Pedagogical, Kiev University.
1944-1956 simultaneously director, Ukraine Pedagogical Research Institute. Specialized in polytcch educational, methods of teaching Ukraine and Russian, educational and training work of schools and the history of pedag. Wrote textbooks on Ukraine language for use in lst-4ih classes at Ukraine schools.
