Seigo Yamaya was born in 1889 in Okayama Prefecture.
Seigo Yamaya graduated from Tokyo University with a degree in law (1914).
Seigo Yamaya entered government service, and there resigned to become professor at 3rd Higher School in Kyoto (1922). He was a lecturer at Kyoto University (1927). Later was pastor of Shinanomachi Church in Tokyo (1946) and professor at Tokyo Theological College (since 1955). Is known as a Calvinist. Among his works are "Theologv of Paul," "An Interpretation of the New Testament" and "Truth of God and Sincerity of Man."
