He began his singing carrier in 1915. He sang at the Mobile opera. He was the soloist of the Voronezh Opera and Ballet Theater (1920-1922), where he performed the Demon part (The Demon by Anton Rubinstein), Onegin (Eugene Onegin by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky), Georges Germont (La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi), Escamillo (Carmen by Georges Bizet) and others.
He performed in concerts in the open areas of the city of Voronezh. He was the teacher of the provincial theater studio (1920-1922, Voronezh Institute of Theatrical Art).
