Setsuzo Tsubakimoto graduated from Kobe Higher Commercial School (1912).
Setsuzo Tsubakimoto served at Shanghai Branch of Naigai Cotton Company. He reorganized Tsubakimoto Chain Seisakujo into a joint-stock company and became its president (1941). The same year founded and became president of Tsubakimoto Kokyu Seizosho (Tsubakimoto Steel Bearing Manufactory). Served also as member of Osaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry and director of Sangyo Kikai Kyokai (Industrial Machinery Association). Awarded Ryokuju Hosho (Green Ribbon Medal) by Bureau of Decorations (1954). Held a few additional posts including that of director of Osaka Kogyokai (Osaka Industry Society).
