Shigenao Kanai graduated from Tokyo Higher Commercial School in 1911.
Career
Shigenao Kanai entered Toyo Life Insurance Company serving successively as director of Business and General Affairs Departments and executive director from 1931. He Served also as executive director of Japan Soda Company and managing director (1947) of Japan Rayon Pulp Industry Company. When the above company became the Kokoku Rayon Pulp Mfg. Co. he became its president (1951). Toured Europe and America (1928), holds additional posts of executive director of Japan Industrial Council, director of Federation of Economic Organizations.
