Shigeyuki no Minamoto

Background

The son of Kanenobu Minamoto. Was adopted by his uncle Kanetada.

Career

In his life served five Emperors, i.e., Murakami, Reizei, Enyu, Kazan and Ichijo. From his poems, it is surmised that he was of advanced age when he took up his last poet with Sanekata Fujiwara in Mutsu Province (northern Japan).
