Shiyiu Tsujimoto (Katsumi) was born in 1895 in Nara Prefecture, Japan.
Shiyiu Tsujimoto graduated from Nara Normal School.
His career as calligrapher began in his infancy when he studied calligraphy under Kenzan Kuwayama. Later Shiyiu Tsujimoto studied under Saishii Onoe and other prominent calligraphers.
He published Shokan (calligraphical magazine), and edited and published many textbooks. Before the war he was member of Toho Shodokai (Toho Calligraphic Society). He became judge at Japan Fine Arts Exhibition (1948).
