He graduated from Voronezh music school in 1926 (Volf-Izrael’s class). From the age of 14 Solomon was a ballroom pianist at the movie theater.
Since 1928 he was an orchestra director at the "Spartak" cinema. The first performance of jazz orchestra under the direction of Vinitsky was on October 25, 1935, orchestra was highly estimated by Isaak Dunayevsky and Leonid Utyosov. In 1945-1952 he was an orchestra director at the "Proletariy" cinema.
Later he worked as conductor at the Voronezh circus, wrote music for circus acts and other works. In 1960-1970s he headed the instrumental ensemble, which was playing in the local restaurants, collaborated with the Rostov circus.
