Evaluation and introduction of new construction materials and techniques including design of testing equipment, e.g., for sealing and waterproofing concrete and corrugated galvanized steel structures and foundations, joint sealants for concrete pavements, reflective solar control films for windows, protective coatings for concrete and maple floors, bentonite clay and membrane waterproofing, prevention of windblown rain penetration, repair techniques for leaky shower rooms, evaluation of fiber reinforced plastic tanks for underground storage of flammable liquids, dining facilities as collective protection centers against chemical-biological warfare. Research on state highways for reflection cracking in asphaltic concrete overlay pavements versus new materials, introduction and management of system for identification and classification of chemical hazardous materials in all laboratories at United States Army CERL and disposal of hazardous substances and waste products.
