Quotations:
"The most important element of the traditional mystery is, however (to my mind, at least), the puzzle. Unlike many contemporary mysteries, which are driven more by characterization than plot, my Charlotte Graham mysteries rely heavily on the puzzle element and have fairly complex plots. This is the part of the writing that gives me the most satisfaction (and also poses the greatest challenge): the almost mathematical ways in which the plot is worked out."
