Sumio Takakuwa graduated from Military Preparatory School, entered the Military Academy but soon left to study philosophy at Jochi College.
Sumio Takakuwa was a professor at Jochi College. He was a professor at Tokyo Women's Medical College and at Aichi College. He was also secretary of Democratic Scientists Association.
Among his works are "The Buddhist Outlook on the World," "Outline of Indian Philosophy" and "Construction of Liberty."
