Sunita Kumbhat is an Indian chemist, educator and scientist. She is an Associate Professor at Jai Narain Vyas University.

Kumbhat was born on March 9, 1959 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India; the daughter of Bijai Mal and Pushpa (Devi) Gang.

Education

Kumbhat received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1978 and a Master of Science degree in 1980 from Jai Narain Vyas University. Five years later she was given a Doctor of Philosophy from the same university.

Career

Kumbhat began her career as a research fellow at Jai Narain Vyas University in 1981. Five years later she took a position of a microanalyst at the same university. Since 1992 Sunita has been an associate professor at this university. Also she worked as a head of chemistry department at Jai Narain Vyas University from 2010 to 2013.

Achievements

  • Sunita received a Common Wealth Ac Staff Fellowship from Oxford University in 1994 and 1995.

Membership

Kumbhat is a member of International Society of Electrochemistry in Switzerland, Society for Advancement of Electrochemical Sciences and Technology in India and Indian Science Congress Association.
