Suzanne Frayser (Ph.D. in social anthropology, Cornell University) is an independent, social science consultant in the Denver metropolitan area. For six years, she worked with George P. Murdock as a cross cultural researcher at the Cross-Cultural Cumulative Coding Center (at the University of Pittsburgh); topics investigated were community organization and theories of illness. She received a professional associate award from the Culture Learning Institute at the East-West Center to participate in a six month international, multidisciplinary cross-cultural project. She has been a member of the Society for Cross-Cultural Research since its inception. She has conducted cross-cultural research since 1968 and has both taught and researched the subject of human sexuality since 1970. She has taught anthropology, sociology, and psychology at SUNY-Potsdam, George Washington University, Colorado College and the University of Denver. She is currently writing a reference book with Thomas Whitby and resources in human sexuality.
