Education
He graduated from Tokyo University (1924) and received degree (1928).
Career
Tadao Toda became professor of Manchuria Medical College (1931) and thereafter was appointed to present post as professor of Kyushu University (1936).
Served as member of Japan Science Council and dean of Medical Department of Kyushu University. For many years has been conducting researches on tuberculosis studying such subjects as method of manufacture of B.C.G. vaccine, inoculation of human body with tuberculin and B.C.G. vaccine and chemotherapy of tuberculosis.
Also published theses on leprosy, dengue fever and cancer. Member of Hototogisu (Cuckoo) haiku magazine. Works include " A New Bacteriology By Toda" and "Tuberculosis and B.C G."
