Takamichi Todo was born in 1644 in Japan. He was the second son of Takatsugu.

Takamichi Todo was born in 1644 in Japan. He was the second son of Takatsugu.
Takamichi Todo was granted the title of Lord of Sado (1659) and later was conceded territory in Ise, Yamato and Yamashiro provinces (fief of 50,000 koku of rice) by his elder brother Takahisa (1669). By official order founded Kui Clan in Ise Province (Mie Prefecture) and became its lord.
Takamichi Todo was fond of waka and haiku poetry, which he studied under Kigin Kitamura.
