He graduated from Tokyo University (1914).
Career
He entered the Tokyo Asahi Shimbun (1918) and was transferred to tlie Osaka Asahi Shimbun (1919), assigned to cover fields of literature and fine arts, and to write comment on fine arts. Left the newspaper (1927) and was appointed associate member of the newspaper. From 1926 to 1927, toured in India, Nepal and Java. After leaving the Asahi, is engaged in study of and writing on the history of Japanese paintings.
