Tamakichi Nakajima

Background

Tamakichi was born in 1875 in Gum­ma Prefecture, Japan.

Education

Tamakichi graduated from Tokyo University. Studied twice in Eu­rope and America and once made official tour to China.

Career

Tamakichi served as an assistant, professor of Kyoto University and thereafter in 1906 became a professor of the same university; gave lectures on civil law for 30 years and following retirement in 1935 became an em­eritus professor. In 1907 he received the degree. Concentrated mainly on civil law and suc­cession law and attained distinguished achievements in those fields.
