He was Dainagon (Vice-Minister). Tamekazukyo-shu, an anthology of his poems, contains only a small number of poems but is valuable since they are arranged chronologically and accompanied by detailed notes. The notes give much sidelight on the life of Court nobles and warriors in the late Muromachi Period.
