He graduated from Tokyo University (1913).
Career
Tanaka Yutaka was appointed engineer to the Ministry of Railways. Later was assistant professor at his alma mater, becoming professor in due course. Retired due to age (1948) and was retained as emeritus professor.
He was an adviser to Yokogawa Bridge Company. Was a member of the Japan Academy, of Japan Society of Engineers and of Japan Transportation Society.
