Taro Kan served successively as administrative official of home affairs, counselor of Manchoukuo, investigator of Cabinet Planning Board and director of Central Headquarters of Imperial Rule Assistance Adult Association. Purged after the war and after being depurged was elected to House of Representatives (1952). President of Shikoku Kohatsu (Industrial Development) Company, Ltd.
